Today’s injury report features a few noteworthy changes from Tuesday’s earlier edition. The Revolution will take on the Colorado Rapids in Foxborough tomorrow night.
Edgaras Jankauskas and Niko Colaluca, both of whom were listed as questionable on Tuesday, are not listed at all. Whether these two would play has been the basis of much Revs talk over the last week. Now we know that they will both be available. Jankauskas could help the Revs given his prowess as a possession-based player — a place where coach Steve Nicol has said the club needs to improve — and Colaluca will be fired up to face his old team.
Captain Shalrie Joseph has been upgraded from questionable to probable despite not training with the team much at all this week. Joseph surprised many by starting against Toronto FC, his season debut and the only match he has taken part in thus far, and he played well. He is likely capable of stepping in right away should he be fit to play.
We neglected to include Zak Boggs on Tuesday. He sprained his ankle during training earlier this week and is listed as doubtful. Colaluca will likely fill his spot as a midfielder to be called upon off the bench. Mauricio Castro has been upgraded from doubtful to out.
Emmanuel Osei, who was sidelined at the last minute this past Saturday, will not play. This presents Darrius Barnes with a good chance to really lay claim to a centerback spot; he’ll be getting his second start in a row in place of Osei.
Taylor Twellman and Matt Reis? No surprises. They’re out.
